This is my first attempt at a segmented bowl. It is made from red oak and maple.

One of my first natural wood bowls from walnut. I liked the look of the knot in the side.
This is my first "major" segmented bowl from red oak, maple, and walnut.
This shows the insert put into the bottom layer to "hide" the points of the 16 piece bottom.
Turned this from a piece of red oak from the woods. It has numerous worm holes which give it a aged look.
I wanted to try a couple of projects from weeping willow. It spun off a lot of water while being turned on the lathe.

This is my first try at open segmented turning. The design is from a book authored by William Smith "Segmented Wood Turning".
This maple and purpleheart bowl was an experiment in using wood strips between the blocks to add a little color.
This lid was made by gluing the wedges to the center hub, then turning it on the lathe. It gives a propeller-like sound when using the tools on it.

This piece of mahogany was given to me by a friend. His father had been using it as a jack stand block in the garage for over 40 years.
