This was made from a set of plans passed on to me by my wife's uncle. It was interesting to make, and I learned that cedar is difficult to turn cleanly.

This is my first bowl of this shape, and is 6.5" x 4.5". The oak is recycled flooring, and bloodwood with yellowheart are the design woods.

This wood is called Sapele, and the design is known as a "bowl from a board". This wood was interesting to work with as it seemed to have a sparkle in the grain, I assume from minerals that grew in the tree.
